CD Project has developed and released Cyberpunk 2077, an action role-playing computer game. The story takes place in Night City, the open world of the cyberpunk universe. Players envision a first-person perspective on V, a customizable mercenary with hacking and mechanical talent, as well as close-quarters and ranged combat options. The plot follows V's battle for a mysterious cybernetic implant that threatens to overwrite his body with the personality and memory of the deceased celebrity that only V can perceive. A team of about 500 people worked on the game using RED engine 4. That's more than the number of people who worked on the studio's previous title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). CD Project has set up a new division in Wroclaw, Poland, working with Digital Scopes, NVidia, QLOC, and Jail Research on a project. Cyberpunk founder Mike Pond smith acted as a consultant and star of Keanu Reeves. Marcin Przybyowicz oversaw the original score, including contributions from several licensed artists.
CD Project launched the Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4, Stadia, Windows, and Xbox One on December 10, 2020, followed by the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S on February 15, 2022.
